Insight into my Work Experience at Seymours Solicitors

I joined Seymours Solicitors in their Leamington Spa office for work experience in their Residential Property Department. I shadowed two members of the department, Preeti and Ravinder; both of who were incredibly welcome and genuine.

The experience I gained was invaluable for me, as Preeti and Ravinder gave me exposure to tasks at every stage of various property transactions. Their knowledge and capability was evident, which they conveyed clearly and allowed me to incorporate into my own work.

They were always responsive and patient when I had questions, but also gave me the much valued flexibility to get stuck into tasks independently. I was very impressed to see how effectively the team worked while juggling a number of concurrent matters, and I am very grateful to have had the chance to work alongside them.

The placement gave me a much better understanding of the tasks and skills required to be successful in property law, and I was especially impressed by the team's adaptations in each matter to best fit the client's needs. Preeti and Ravinder's trust and professionalism really allowed me to get the most out of my time at the firm.

The office had such a positive, comforting atmosphere that it made it difficult to remember we were there for work! Everyone was so approachable and friendly, which made the time fly by. Going out for lunch was definitely a highlight! I am very grateful to all the staff at Seymours for being so accommodating, and wish the time had lasted longer. The experience is one that I would recommend to anyone, and I know I'd love to return if I was given the opportunity.
